Stoke on Trent Pottery

This past weekend some friends and I went to a village called Stoke on Trent. It's known for it's pottery and this month they have a sales of 50% off and more.

I've been wanting to go since I heard about it from my friend, Rebecca.

This was my favorite shop was Burleigh pottery shop you can see more pictures here

It was also the most expensive

I was in farm house heaven

What a cute way to display teacups

I did buy a plain white teapot to place flowers in it this Spring.

We went to Portmeirion as well,  and that is where I found the best bargains. I think I did pretty considering it was my first time going.

Knick Knacks

Christmas 2014 came and went too fast. The best part was that we were all together again. The kids got what they wanted and I got everything on my list as well.

A couple of days after Christmas Mick and I went shopping for antiques and other knick knacks. We found the cutest place called Bulldog Barns.  I think I've found my new favorite store.

We found a few treasures, the cabinet was a prison locker, some old bottle openers, a mosquito catcher and couple of boxes made from reclaimed wood.

And a few tea towels. It's a good thing that I don't have a lot of money to spend on stuff like this because I would run out of space quickly.

British Museum and Hyde Park

This past Friday we watched Night at the Museum Secret of the Tomb. And then Saturday we took the kids to British Museum where it was filmed.

I just started watching Penny Dreadful and I recognized this building as soon as I saw it.

Looking at the building from the outside it doesn't look big.  Once inside it took my breath away.

And here is the Rosetta Stone, I was lucky I was able to get this close with all the people standing around it.

This little guy was in the movie

After the museum, we headed over to Hyde Park for Christmas in the park. On the way we stopped by this WWII memorial and took some time to read about it.

Then we headed over to the very crowded Christmas Market.

Sydney warming up with her mulled wine, it took the girl at the counter a while to read her American ID to prove she was 18.

It was another great day spent in London and something crossed off the list.
