New Year...New Start.
Don't you just love New Year's day? It's the time of year that gets me thinking about things I want to accomplish. The only bad part is when I don't achieve my goals, I feel like a big dope. But that doesn't stop me from trying again the following year.
This year I vow to go to the gym more,

Run in a 5k and actually not suck.
Plant some beautiful flowers. And finally get organized.

Winter Blast
We woke up the day after to Christmas to this beautiful snow. I couldn't believe it! I thought I was back in Colorado.
It had to be a lest 6 inches thick. Brody was having a blast trying to make snowballs.
Good thing we didn't have to go anywhere cause I didn't want to have to move all that.

Snow men were attempted but when you don't have the right gloves it just doesn't work.
After about 30 minutes of this, it was time to come in. Oh dear, I forgot how your clothes get soaking wet.

Oh Christmas tree
Oh how I've missed thee. I bought this tree in 2006 and only used it once because either we were on vacation or lived in a space too small.
But this year it's getting put to use.
Unfortunately some of my ornaments were broken due to moving. I am not one of those people whose ornaments are all matchy- matchy. I like to mix it up and somehow it all works for me.
At least Mr. Reindeer made it.
This is one my friend Sharon gave me years ago. I love that it opens up like an egg.
My Oklahoma cowboy boot
My homemade angels I love these. Years ago my friends Pam and Jami sat around Pam's kitchen table and made these, I always think of them when I take these out.
The all important LSU ornaments
It always makes me laugh when non-SEC fans come to our house cause they always ask what does LSU mean? Or I had no idea you liked LSU so much. People from Louisiana are crazy about our teams.
Saints football ornament and it was bought way before they won the Super Bowl.
My husband bought this candle holders for Christmas and I had to use them right away. Check out the bottom I can fill it with whatever I want.
Rocking around the Christmas tree.

Pumpkin Farm
The kids and I spent a fun day at Hill Ridge Farms and it was one of the best activities we did this Fall. A couple of neighbors told me about it last year, but we weren't able to go. I highly recommend this place if you live in eastern North Carolina. This place had a little bit for everyone to do, just wish we would have gotten there earlier since it closes at 6pm.
This is a child size maze. Syd likes to think she is still a child.
I had so much fun watching and hearing all the screaming people came down the slide. So glad I got this shot.
What a cutie pie!
Someone kept changing their mind on which pumpkin to take home.
This covered wagon was our ride to and from the pumpkin patch.
A rare picture of them both smiling and looking at the camera
After a long wait we finally got on the train. It's not the Hogwarts express, but it will have to do.
Evidently jumping on hay bales is a lot of fun, I don't think Brody actually jumped.
