Garden of the Gods

The second day was so long and we did so much.  I will have to post it in two sections. After the football game we went back to the hotel to freshened up and we hit the road again.
This is a beautiful free park called Garden of the Gods
The park is famous for it's giant red rock formations. There are hiking trails, bike trails, you can go horseback riding. During our visit there were two weddings being held at the park.

this is balancing rock, it's pretty neat!

everyone gets a picture by the rock

this is what happens when you take a wrong turn.

After we left Garden of the Gods we decided to check out one of the many parks in the Springs area.

This is Manitou Springs, and that would be my dream house up on the mountain.

cool tree at the park, the kids liked taking turns sitting in it

This is area is know for the it's mineral springs and it's an acquired taste. Sydney tried as many as she could but she did not find one that she liked.

this is the creek behind the park

Brody approved of the slide
