A New Tiger

Planes, shuttles, and automobiles, somehow we made it back to the states and not a moment too soon.
Our baby girl has chosen LSU as her home for the next for 4 years. we are so proud of her. She was accepted into every school she applied to but in the end it came down to cost and location. We still have family and friends in the area, and I knew I would feel better about her being there.

She and her dad did orientation together and honestly I think her dad enjoyed it more than she did.

LSU has a beautiful campus

They also have the biggest Barnes and Nobles I've ever seen.

Season football tickets are in her future.

No trip would be complete without seeing Mike the tiger.

Enjoying our last meal together, at Canes.

It was a such a great trip home, we got see family and friends and checked off some must do's, while we were home. Like finally meeting our nephew Jude.

Had a crab boil at our friends Tommy and Pam's home.

Ate shrimp po boys and had a crawfish baked potato.

Spent time with my mom.

Went for a swim

Went for a swim

No explanation needed.

And then finally we had to say good-bye. Going to miss and worry about this girl everyday.

Truly was one of the hardest days of our lives leaving our oldest child behind and going back across the ocean.

Home by way of Germany...

Saying good-bye is always hard.

I know it's strange, but we drove to Germany to catch a space A flight back to the states. It was a long eventful trip but we made it there and back safely, and that 's all that matters.

The kids piled in the back of the our little car and we drove all night long. And I do mean, all night long.

Here we are heading for the English Chunnel crossing and the next stop in France.
I wish I could tell you that I saw some amazing things but it was dark. However, it felt nice to be driving on the right side of the road again. And it was wonderful to be on asphalt roads that were just like the states. England your roads suck! Brody informed us that speaking French was easy... examples were zzzbabee mean baby, zzzprincess (princess) zzzcar (automobile) see it's easy anyone can speak French. And if you want some apple juice well Sydney has that phrase covered. My kids are nuts!

This is what the English Chunnel looks like, it's basically like a train that holds your car and travels under the water.

It took us a few days to catch a flight out of Germany but I'm not complaining we played tourist in Kaiserslautern Germany. Mick has been here before and it was cool for him to show us around this pretty city.

After we parked, we walked downtown and checked out some of the local shops, I think we must have walked about 10 blocks.

Thank goodness for our GPS!

We got to spend some time at Ramstein Air Force base, I'm so jealous. It was a great base we went swimming, enjoyed some shopping, ate German food. We even got to eat at Chilli's.
